Early 19th century paint decorated marriage trunk. Original yellow-painted surface with brown freehand designs, probably New York.
Provenance: Hester and Paul Foster, who purportedly traveled from New York in mid 19th century to Michigan. The back is painted with their initials "HF" and "PF".
This wooden document box has carved diamonds surrounding the box and lid. The hinged lid has a reverse painted glass panel with the inscription 'G. Bogus 1886'. The box has nice patena with a little wear from being touched. There is a split in the wood at the back. It measures W: 7"; D: 4.5"; H: 4"
This is a poster that would have been in the window of the '49 Mercury that was used by James Dean in the film "Rebel Without A Cause". It measures 23 x 27 1/2" and has a few holes in the paper where it was probably tacked somewhere.
This vase is beautiful example of Rookwood art pottery. It is hand painted with a dandelion and is fire in the standard glaze. This glaze starts at the top as a deep brown and fades into a golden yellow at the bottom. It is signed LES and marked the the Rookwood marking dating it to 1904. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
This is a beautiful Steuben gold aurene urn vase. It is made by Frederick Cardu and signed Steuben. The vase is 7 3/4" tall. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
Framed painting of a terrier dog named 'Kitty' signed by Louis Lambert. He is a French artist who was well known for animal portraits. The sight size is 9.5 x 11.25" and framed it is 13.25 x 15.5".
