Early 19th century paint decorated marriage trunk. Original yellow-painted surface with brown freehand designs, probably New York. Provenance: Hester and Paul Foster, who purportedly traveled from New York in mid 19th century to Michigan. The back is painted with their initials "HF" and "PF".
