Rounded triangular ashtray or plaque, 6 3/8 in., featuring the landmark Elephant Gate at the entrance to the Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen. Made in characteristic blue and white Aluminia Faience with embossed Carlsberg logo and crown (which bespeakes the royal heritage of the company). Unable to determine age, but may date to the time Carlsberg took over Royal Copenhagen. Piece has a few light crazing lines, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Carling-O'Keefe bowling trophy ashtray, 11 x 6 1/4 in., black ceramic with white drip, made in Quebec. Carling used to sponsor the Saskatchewan 5-Pin Bowling Championship; this is probably from the 1970s-80s. Very good condition.
