Yona Ceramics chili pepper dish

Yona Ceramics large chile pepper shape serving dish, 15 1/2 x 8 in., with hand-painted barnyard design and black sprayed rim, c. 1940s-50s. Piece is signed on front, but unmarked on back. Yona Lippin established her pottery in Los Angeles CA in the late 1940s, after working for Hedi Schoop. Dish has minor crazing, but is otherwise in very good condition.
