Souvenir plate from Mission San Fernando, 9 in., with color decal center and metallic gold filigree trim, c. 1940s-50s. Slight decorating flaw, otherwise in very good condition.
Mission San Fernando was the fourth mission established along the El Camino Real in 1797. After Mexico's independence from Spain, the property came under control of the government. In 1923 the property was returned to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and once again became a church and community religious center.
