This beautiful cane is in the shape of a dog's head. I think it is a Doberman Pinscher, but it has also been suggested that it could be a Whippet, or a Greyhound. Regardless of the breed, it is an absolutely amazing piece! It has glass eyes which are amber in color. It appears to have been carved out of some type of bone. A variety of colors, lines, and "pock" marks are visible. See close-up photos. The head of the dog is attached to a wooden shaft by a gold colored collar. ...click for details
