This recipe box was manufactured by Fosta Products in the 1950's. It is red hard plastic with a large mammy or Aunt Jemima face on the front, and the word "recipes" written on the top in black block letters. It measures 3.5" high, 5.25" long and 3" wide. It is completely FULL of recipes (probably from the same era). It is in very good condition. Peanuts is a syndicated comic strip created and illustrated by Charles M. Schultz from 1950 to 2000. In all, 17,897 strips were published making it the "longest story ever told by one human being" (Prof R. Thompson, Syracuse University). This tankard was manufactured by Royal Doulton. It is dated 1949 (on bottom). It depicts scenes from Charles Dickens famous work "Oliver Twist". There is a 1" band around the top of the tankard which reads "Oliver" on one side and "Twist" on the other. This amazing toby jug or pitcher depicts an elderly "tale teller". He is seated on a stool and has a mug in his right hand. He is dressed in brown pants, a purple coat with gold lapel and blue cuffs and a black hat. The colors are very vivid.
