This beautiful covered dish was made by Spode, England. It is in the Game Bird pattern. The lid depicts 2 game birds - a Grey Phalaropa and a Goosander. The center of the bowl (in the bottom) shows a Garganey. On both the bowl and the lid, the game girds are surrounded by a 2 1/4" wide pattern of leaves and flowers as well as a scalloped edge.
