This lovely plate and syrup dispenser were manufactured by Crown Ducal. Crown Ducal is the name used on many pieces that were actually manufactured by A.G. Richardson and Co, England, and has been around since 1916. They are best known for their chintz patterns. This is an excellent example of their work. The chintz pattern here is actually called "Ascot" and appears to be a transfer pattern. The plate has a more white base than the syrup...

Herend has been producing outstanding porcelain pieces since 1826. Each piece is kiln fired, then carefully hand decorated by one of 750 painters employed by the company. The skilled artisans are guided only by tiny dots of graphite applied through perforated forms. With multi-colored designs, multiple firings (between color applications) are often necessary to achieve the correct colors. A single piece may take weeks to perfect. This is a covered vegetable bowl in the Market Garden pattern...

This nice teapot was manufactured by Meissen. It is in the Blue Onion pattern with amazing cobalt flowers and vines. It is actually quite small, measuring just 4 7/8" tall (at it's highest point), and 7" across (including handle and spout). I believe it is called a "mini teapot". It is marked with the crossed sword Meissen mark (see photo). There is no damage of any kind - other than the fact that the lid is not the correct lid for the Blue Onion pattern.

Royal Bayreuth has been producing fine porcelain since 1794. While their figural items are arguably the most sought after items, those with scenic motifs follow closely. This cream sized pitcher is an example. It is decorated with a hunting scene. A man is shown poking a stick in a hole at the base of a tree, while 3 dogs anxiously wait nearby. The pitcher stands 4" tall and has a base diameter of 2". It is marked on the base with a blue mark, which dates it between 1870 and 1914. It is i...

This beautiful tea set was made by Thomas Marktredwitz some time between 1905 and 1908. To give you a bit of history on the company I am citing a web source called porcelainmarksandmore.com "In 1898 the first porcelain factory opened in the town of Marktredwitz and was known under the name of 'Porzellanfabrik Jaeger, Thomas & Co.' In 1903, Thomas decided to leave his partners and open his own factory. Based on the ideas Thomas introduced, success was nearly instantaneous for the new company. ...
