This Calyx ware place setting was manufactured by Adams (a member of the Wedgwood Group) between 1970 and 1979. It is characterized by brown birds, white flowers and a celadon body. Celadon glazes can be produced in a variety of colors depending on the thickness of the applied glaze and the type of clay to which it is applied. However, the most famous celadons range in color from a very pale green crackle to deep intense green. The color was believed to mimic the green shades of jade. These ...click for details

This beautiful piece was made by Royal Bayreuth before 1920. Royal Bayreuth was founded in Tettau, Bavaria, in 1794. While the factory has continued to modern times, the marks have changed through the years. A stylized crest, the name Royal Bayreuth, and the word Bavaria appear in slightly different forms from 1870 to about 1919. Later marks include the words U.S. Zone, the year of the issue, or the word Germany instead of Bavaria. This creamer depicts five sheep in a snow covered terrain. ...click for details

It was only produced in red, cobalt, ivory, yellow, lt. green and turquoise. This example is in cobalt. It measures 6 1/4" tall, and has a 3 1/4" diameter at the opening. Unfortunately it has no lid. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. This coffee pot lists for $610 (with lid, of course) ...click for details
