This beautiful piece was made by the Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge Ohio. It is in the popular "Rose Point" pattern, but the pattern is encrusted, or overlaid in gold. The rim of the bowl is also trimmed with gold, as is the upper edge of the foot. This pattern was manufactured from 1935-1953. This piece is called a low compote with 2 handles. This comport was made by the Westmoreland Glass Company. The pattern is called "Della Robbia" and was made from the late 1920's through the 1940's. This particular piece is said to be "decorated" or "trimmed" as the fruits in the pattern are colored - red apples, purple grapes and yellow pears. This is the Sweetmeat compote. This beautiful cheese dish was made by Adams and Company in the 1880's. It is in the "Horseshoe" pattern which is also known as "Good Luck" or "Prayer Rug". The handle of the lid is in the trademark form of a horseshoe. The base of the dish shows a woman churning. This dish measures 7 1/2 in diameter and 4 inches in height. It is in amazing condition for its age. There are just a couple of wear marks on the lid, where the two pieces come together.
