This beautiful pitcher/creamer is a wonderful example of early American pattern glass. It was made sometime between 1885 and 1890 by Bryce, Walker and Co. The pattern is called "Panelled Honeycomb". It stands just over 6 1/2" tall and is 6" at it's widest (including handle and spout). The footed base is octagonal in shape, with 4 of the 8 sections slightly shorter than the other 4. This covered butter dish is in the Baltimore Pear pattern. It has an "R" mark indicating that it is a re-issue by the U S Glass Company in the 1970's. This piece was originally made by the Adams Glass Company in 1874, then again by the Jeannette Glass Company in the 1950's. This dish measures 7 1/2 inches across the handles and 5" to the top of the finial. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
