This is a solid brass door knocker commemorating the life of Sir Winston Churchill. At the top of the bracket is the House of Parliament. The bottom reads "Winston Churchill Nov 1874 –Jan 1965". The back is marked "Gt Britain" and "BEL". The movable knocker portion is the bust of Churchill. There is a lot of patina showing the age of this piece. It measures 8.5" long.

These Arts and Crafts style bookends are in the form of a leaf. They are made of copper and were manufactured by The Smith Craft Company. The Smith Craft Co. was founded in Vermont in 1946. In 1948, the company's name was changed to the Vermont Copper Crafters. Due to a copper shortage, the company ceased trading in 1951. Each bookend stands just over 6" tall.
