This nice teapot was manufactured by Meissen. It is in the Blue Onion pattern with amazing cobalt flowers and vines. It is actually quite small, measuring just 4 7/8" tall (at it's highest point), and 7" across (including handle and spout). I believe it is called a "mini teapot". It is marked with the crossed sword Meissen mark (see photo). There is no damage of any kind - other than the fact that the lid is not the correct lid for the Blue Onion pattern.

Satsuma is a Japanese porcelain, first produced in the early 17th century. It is characterized as having "a crackle glaze and overglaze polychrome enameling and gilding". Satsuma pieces are often adorned with images of ancient wise men or immortals - men who were of such greatness that they were unable to die. These immortals are viewed as images of good luck. This tea set has 5 immortals and a geisha. It consists of 6 plates, 5 cups, 6 saucers, sugar (with lid), creamer, and teapo ...click for details

Royal Bayreuth has been producing fine porcelain since 1794. While their figural items are arguably the most sought after items, those with scenic motifs follow closely. This cream sized pitcher is an example. It is decorated with a hunting scene. A man is shown poking a stick in a hole at the base of a tree, while 3 dogs anxiously wait nearby. The pitcher stands 4" tall and has a base diameter of 2". It is marked on the base with a blue mark, which dates it between 1870 and 1914 ...click for details

This sign is originally from a filling station. It is two-sided porcelain and reads "HI-SPEED" on both sides. It measures 90" by 42". From what little information I can gather, Hi-Speed was the brand of gasoline used in Arthur Hickock's service stations. The stations seemed to be in existence between 1917 and 1945. In their hay-day, there were roughly 1800 Hi-Speed filling stations in the Toledo Ohio area. The stations could easily be identified by the high column l ...click for details
