This amazing wedding or bride's basket dates back to 1893. It was made by William Rogers, Hartford Connecticut, and is marked with pattern number 975. It is engraved "Compliments of Theta Delta Chi (with emblem), Tau Deuteron, Jan 23, 1893" on the inside of the basket. This chapter of the fraternity is no longer in existence, and we are not sure which college this basket originated from. It is in excellent condition with beautiful patina.
