This 4-fluted vase was made by The Rookwood Pottery Company. The Company was operational from 1879-1967. This piece was made in 1950, as indicated by the "L" under the Rookwood mark on the base. It is very unique in both shape and color. The shape is bulbous at the bottom, then sort of pinched at the top to form 4 flutes. The glaze is beautiful. It is a mix of black, brown, gray and white on the exterior. The glaze was allowed to just run down the sides of the vase...

This is a very lovely powder jar. It is called "Rapunzel" or "Bubble Lady". The finial is of a nude, kneeling woman with arms outstretched holding what looks like a string of bubbles or very long, curly hair that is pooling at her knees. This piece is marked "Dermay INC, Fifth Avenue, New York" and has the number 973 on the base. It is a very pretty blue in color with a satin finish. It is 5.75" tall overall with a 4.5" diameter. The bowl is 4-footed and stands just over 2.25" tall...
