We have 2 of these beautiful majolica plates. They were made by Wedgewood. They are in the shape of a cabbage leaf with a basketweave background showing through at the edges. They measure about 8" in diameter each. Both are marked "Wedgewood" on the bottom. One has the letter "O" only. The other appears to have two letters, "O" and I think "G". I believe this dates the plates to 1810-1820! One plate has 4 tiny flea bites at the edge (the biggest is shown in the photos). It's pattern is also not quite as brilliant. The second plate shows a bit of wear at the high point of the plate - where the stem joins the leaf. There is no other damage to either plate. Please e-mail if you would like more photos. We also have other Wedgwood majolica pieces available with the same pattern, but different marks.
