This amazing syrup was manufactured by Model Flint Glass Works of Albany Indiana. The design is attributed to John F. Miller. According to "Victorian Colored Pattern Glass" by Heacock and Gamble it was only produced between 1901 and 1902 in a very limited quantity. The pattern is called collared reverse swirl. From the handle on down to the bottom of the syrup, there are 1/2" bands or ribs that angle down and to the right. The opalescent strips swirl in the reverse direction of those bands. The swirls start as 1/8" strips at the top, and gradually increase to 1/4" at the base. This syrup measures 6" in height with the metal top. It is 3 1/2" at the widest (across the handle)and has a 1 7/8" diameter at the mouth. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. The lid is even in terrific condition!
