Belleek is a very thin, translucent porcelain. It takes its name from the village in Ireland where it originated in 1859. Belleek is most identifiable by its creamy ivory glaze with a pearl like luster. Shapes taken from nature and the sea often influenced Belleek pieces. This vase has a Harebell pattern. The blue flowers and green vines seem to be hand painted on an embossed background of tall thin leaves. The edge is also gilded. This vase measures 6" tall. It has the 6th (green) mark, which dates this vase between 1965 and 1981. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
