F. B. Rogers Rollover Dish with Glass Insert

This beautiful rollover dish was made by F.B. Rogers. It is silverplate, pattern 273. The dome has "petal" shapes that radiate from the top about 1/4 of the way down the spherical dome. The remainder of the dome is plain. It attaches at the middle to a 3 legged base. The legs of the base are in the shape of lions heads! They curve down to a claw foot. Each leg is attached with two medallions. The glass insert has a fleur-de-lis type pattern that was pressed from the bottom. This dish is 4 3/4" tall when closed, and is 5" at its widest. The insert has a 3.5" diameter and is 1" tall. All pieces are in excellent shape. The silver does have a patina, due to its age. There is no damage of any kind. It is marked on the bottom "Trade Mark 1883, F.B. Rogers Silver Co., 273". There is also a crown mark on the base.
