Weller Light Hudson 3 footed Console Bowl
The Weller Pottery Company was in business from 1882 until 1948. During this time they created several popular artist ware lines, one of which was Hudson. Hudson was the last of the artist ware lines created by Weller, and one of the most sought after by collectors. It was first made in the early 1920's and is a semimatt glazed ware. It is characterized by beautiful artist decorations such as flowers, animals, birds and scenics. This bowl has a gray background with a floral motif of pinks, yellows and greens. There are 2 flowers on one side, and one on the other. It measures 11 3/4" in diameter and stands just 2 1/2" tall on its 3 feet. It is marked "Weller", but is not artist signed (that I can find). It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
