Adams Chusan Coffee Pot & Lid
This Calyx ware coffee pot was manufactured by Adams (a member of the Wedgwood Group) between 1970 and 1979. The pattern is characterized by brown birds, white flowers and a celadon body. Celadon glazes can be produced in a variety of colors depending on the thickness of the applied glaze and the type of clay to which it is applied. However, the most famous celadons range in color from a very pale green crackle to deep intense green. The color was believed to mimic the green shades of jade. This coffee pot is a pale green in color. It measures 9" tall with the lid. The base has the Adams mark, as well as the "Calyx Ware" and "Chusan" pattern mark. It is in MINT condition. See our homepage for other pieces of Adams Chusan.
