This beautiful piece was made by the Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge Ohio. It is in the popular "Rose Point" pattern, but the pattern is encrusted, or overlaid in gold. The rim of the bowl is also trimmed with gold, as is the upper edge of the foot. This pattern was manufactured from 1935-1953. This piece is called a low compote with 2 handles. Although it is listed as round in shape, it is actually multi-sided with a scalloped edge. It measures 8 1/4" across the handles, and stands 2 1/2" high. It appears in perfect condition - the gold shows no wear, and the compote is free from utensil marks.
