The Cambridge Glass Company was in business from 1901 to 1958. They primarily made beautiful crystal dinnerware, and were the largest manufacturer of this type of glass in the 1920's and 30's. Early in the 1930's they began producing the "chantilly" pattern. This pattern was characterized by a delicate floral and scroll motif which was etched into the crystal. This pitcher is considered to be a rare item. It can be found in the "Very Rare Glassware of the Depression Years" Sixth Series book by Gene Florence. It measures 7" at the widest (across the handles and spout) and stands 10 1/4" tall. It has an applied crystal handle. It is unmarked. There are light utensil marks in the bottom on the pitcher. Otherwise it is in excellent condition.
