Royal Bayreuth Cream Pitcher - Hunting Scene
Royal Bayreuth has been producing fine porcelain since 1794. While their figural items are arguably the most sought after items, those with scenic motifs follow closely. This cream sized pitcher is an example. It is decorated with a hunting scene. A man is shown poking a stick in a hole at the base of a tree, while 3 dogs anxiously wait nearby. The pitcher stands 4" tall and has a base diameter of 2". It is marked on the base with a blue mark, which dates it between 1870 and 1914. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind, and only minimal wear to the gold at the rim.
