1961 Royal Copenhagen Plate - The Training Ship

Since their inception in 1815, the Royal Copenhagen Company has produced a variety of wares ranging from commercial wares to hand-decorated fine artware. In 1908 they began producing a limited edition annual Christmas plate. Each Christmas plate measures 7 1/4" and is decorated with a blue and white scene. This plate is marked (see photograph). It was also labeled at the factory - "Kai Lange: Skoleskibet, "Danmark", The Training Ship" appears on the back (see photo). It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
