Sascha Brastoff headed a factory (Sascha Brastoff of California, Inc.) in West Los Angeles, from 1953 until 1973. During that time, he designed and created decorative accessories, ceramics, enamels on copper, and plastics. This is a ceramic vase decorated with rings of gold, white, brown, gray, and turquoise on a white base. There is an applied "crackle" appearance within the rings. It is signed "Sascha B", indicating that it was not actually made by Sascha, but rather another artisan in his factory. It is also marked on the base with the rooster mark, and the number 048. It stands 12.5" tall and has a 5" diameter. This vase was actually USED as indicated by the water lines on the interior. There is also a factory mark on the side where the glaze did not take.
