Hull Little Red Riding Hood Butter Dish
Although the Little Red Riding Hood line (1943-1957) is attributed to the A E Hull Pottery Company, most of the the line was actually produced by Regal China. Hull developed and patented the idea, then sent many of the white ware items to Regal for decoration. Pieces in the line were apparently marked with different marks, depending on the manufacturer. This butter dish is marked with the "Pat. Des. No. 135889" mark (see photo). It measures 6 3/4" long, 4 3/4" wide and 6" high. The gold on the bow shows minimal wear, but otherwise it is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. While the Little Red Riding Hood line is being reproduced, this wonderful piece is NOT a reproduction.
