This is a large vintage ceramic cookie jar made in Taiwan expressly for R.H. Macy & Co. Made to resemble a barrel of fresh fruit. Height: approx 11 in. Width: approx. 7 1/2 in. at middle of barrel. This ceramic piggy bank was made in the 1950's and is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Part of cherished collection. One eye is closed in a wink and the eye of the other is a plastic with a disk that moves when the bank is moved. There are the usual few small places in the glaze that would be expected in an item of this age but not readily noticed. It is in nice condition, nevertheless. One that you would be proud to display.
