This cup & saucer has the old blue Japan sticker and is a souvenir from the state of Texas. The set is in a lustre finish with a decal on the cup of 2 Texas Longhorns and the words "TEXAS The Lone Star State." The saucer has the same decal in the center with scenes of Texas around it. The cup is about 3 inches tall and about 3½ inches in diameter at the rim. The saucer is about 6 inches in diameter. Hard-to-find 1940 circa Nippon Yoko Boeki of Japan cup & saucer with transfer of 1904 Cadillac. Excellent vintage condition. The mark on the bottom dates this to around 1941. Besides the transfer of the old Cadillac the saucer is trimmed with gold around the rim as is the cup. The cup also has a line of gold on the handle. The sauces measures 5 7/8" diameter. This sugar bowl is marked with the "Rising Sun" Nippon mark that dates it between 1890 - 1921. It is hand painted with beautiful pink cottage roses, leaves. Around the rim of the lid there is a light coloring of yellow. It measures 3" tall w/lid and 5"across including handles. This sugar is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This Noritake China Saucer is in the Gold Christmas Ball Pattern #175. Saucer has ornament shaped balls with a rose in each and surrounded by scroll design, all in hand-painted heavy ornate gold gilt moriage detail around the verge. The rim, also, is dotted in heavy gold roping trim. The well of the Saucer is snow white with cream and white verge. The background of this early 1900's, 7 1/4 inch bowl is an off white with a dark brown spatter pattern and a dark brown piecrust rim. The well of the bowl is a hand-painted scene in green, orange, tan and white. The Blue Stamp on the bottom reads "JAPAN" and has a small "n" or "m" underneath. (See photo).
