Vintage Homer Laughlin Virginia Rose Serving Platter

This vintage oval serving platter was made in the Virginia Rose Shape and in the pattern of Golden Rose 2. It is approx 11 & 1/2 inches by 8 & 5/8 inches. It is cream color and decorated with sprays of golden roses around the verge and a medallion of gold in the middle. The rim of the platter is embossed in a scalloped pattern with scrolled lines on the ends for handles. There are some chips on the back of the platter that does not show in photos. On the front there is one small chip on one of the curves but is easy to overlook because of the shape of the platter. The gold is in good condition with little wear of the slimmer sides but the platter has almost no wear and still has its shine. Great for a collection and rare to find. The HLC logo is stamped in green on the back along with the numbers F 49 N 8. Cost is $12.00 plus S & H for 2 lbs.
