This is a rare antique 7 1/4" cranberry sauce serving dish by Moritz Zdekauer. The makers mark dates it between 1894 to 1904. The flowers are arranged in stunning swags of pink roses, tiny blue flowers and with single rosebuds between each. A single soft small yellow rose accentuates each swag. This beautiful dish is scalloped along the edge and has a piecrust embossing with gold flowers between each scallop and ornately decorated with other embossing. In the very center of the bowl is a single pink rose nestled in pale green leaves. There is an imprinted number on the bottom but I can only make out the #1. This old dish is in wonderful, near mint condition -- and the only thing I see is a bit of gold missing from the accent on one of the scallops and 2 tiny (looks like) pin holes which are manufacturing flaw.
