This regal pitcher was made by the East Palestine Pottery Company sometime between 1884 to 1909. It was made and bears the EPP Co. mark. It is in the DeSoto shape. The body is a pumpkin shape with a slightly raised scalloped relief around top of bowl and below rim. The rim is also scalloped in shape and it has a very intricate shaped handle. It measures 5 1/4" tall at the handle and the body is 5 3/4" x 4". This antique pitcher, gravy or sauce boat has no chips or cracks. It does have a glaze blemish on the foot and also a couple of tiny specks of manufacturing flaws on the body, as is often found on early pottery items. The East Palestine Pottery Company was purchased by W. S. George and became W. S. George Pottery Co in 1909.Shipping is figured on the actual cost according to weight and there is no charge for packing.
