This small fluted toothbrush holder with serrated neck and opening was once a part of a toiletry set made by Homer Laughlin Company in the late 1800's to early 1900. It is decorated on 2 sides. One side has a large yellow rose transfer, the other side has a small rose in pink. Gold gilt is sprinkled around the bottom and the rim. It is also embossed with fleur-dis-lieu under the transfers and around the base. It is 4 3/4" tall x 3 3/4" across at the widest of irregular opening. It has the HLC backstamp that was used before 1910. In very good condition with no chips or cracks but there is slight wear to the transfers, if you look closely. Gold detail around rim is worn. Today this item would make a great little vase, comb holder or any number of other uses. Shipping weight is 2 lbs.Note of interest: This was in the same family for 5 generation, so I was told.
