This lovely jar by Royal Worcester is an small or single egg coddler, but if you're not into coddling your eggs, it could easily be used to store and serve preserves. It was created in England of a fine heavy porcelain and has a charming floral motif of roses and wildflowers. The pattern name is “Bournemouth”. It has a threaded chrome lid (I count four threads, indicating an older piece) with a ring finial.
It measures 3 3/8" tall with lid in place x 2" in diameter. Excellent condition overall, but appears to have a thin ring of yellowed glue around the base of the threaded collar. I haven't tried to remove this, and will leave the choice to do so up to its new owner.
