Mermod & Jaccard Sterling Silver Match Safe with an embossed man’s face, three ladies faces, and embossed with surrealistic clouds of smoke wreathing around them in very good detail. Stamped “MERMOD & JACCARD”, on the outside lip of the inside front flange followed with a barely discernable engraved “436865”?? I think. On the opposite flange on the inside it is stamped “STERLING”, and also either “1B547”, or 1B647”. The back surface seems to be monogrammed but can’t make out the letters. ...click for details

Each of the clasps has a makers mark of “P & B” with each letter stamped within a separate stamped heart as in Paye & Baker, and each is also marked “STERLING” above the makers mark. Both clasps work well with springs that feel strong, and the chain, which I believe is also sterl ...click for details

Very Unique Silver-plated, or possibly Sterling 78” tape measure with the “Great Seal” of the United States embossed into side plates, half on obverse, half on reverse. I have seen an original box for one of these marked “Silver”. Very strong embossing, and very top quality made. I believe this was sold originally as a combination tape measure and paperweight, by F.B. Rogers Co. Made in Germany. Heavy, solid-feeling item. No brand name showing anywhere on outside. Measures appx 2 7/8” in diamete ...click for details
