Very Unique Silver-plated, or possibly Sterling 78” tape measure with the “Great Seal” of the United States embossed into side plates, half on obverse, half on reverse. I have seen an original box for one of these marked “Silver”. Very strong embossing, and very top quality made. I believe this was sold originally as a combination tape measure and paperweight, by F.B. Rogers Co. Made in Germany. Heavy, solid-feeling item. No brand name showing anywhere on outside.
