Hallmark, Lionel 671 Turbine Steam Locomotive
$48.00---SALE PENDING
Hallmark, Lionel 671 Turbine Steam Locomotive from the 20th Century Series.
This is a beautifully detailed die cast replica of an early Lionel, mounted loosely
on a section of rails that are fastened to a wood-look plastic base, and comes with
a removable, clear plexiglas dust cover. The prototype for this unit was the Pennsylvania RR, Model S2 steam turbine, which was basically a commercial failure. Never the less the Lionel proved to be a success story of its own. Engine & tender total about 11” long. Base measures 15 ½” long and 3 ¾” wide. Plexiglas cover is 4 ¼” tall. These are all built without engines, for display only. There is no apparent damage, wear, or missing parts. The man I bought these from had bought them years ago before retiring from Hallmark. He had all 5 set on individual wall shelves and took very good care of them. This item will also be displayed for sale at Lincoln Antique Mall, Lincoln, Mo. so please check with me regarding availability.
