Delft Holland, Nut / Cache Dish, Turquoise, Gold Trim

Delft Holland, Oval Nut Dish, or Cache Tray. Measures about 4 ¼” wide, and 7 1/8” long. This is an unusual color & pattern for Delft. I have never seen a name, or description of it, so the best I can offer is that it is turquoise and a chrome-like charcoal color, in a pattern that resembles roots and fissures in rock. I know from having a damaged piece in the past that the base clay is a whitish, somewhat soft, powder-like clay. This particular piece is trimmed in gold. There is only a very tiny bit of wear in two places to the gold trim, but otherwise, no damage of any sort, and displays very well. Marked “HAND, PAINTED, DELFT, HOLLAND”, in gold ink on bottom. .
