Souvenir Spoon Lot, 6X,Boston Jubilee, Mackinac Ellis++
I am offering six very nice to mint souvenir spoons as follows, The first is stamped “Jubilee, 350, Boston” in the bowl. Stamped in an oval, on the heel of the bowl on back, “Clamer, NYC”. The ship has 20 detailed sails and the ship sets on a pedestal type base attached to handle and is embossed “USS CONSTITUTION”. I believe this item to be silver-plated, but cannot be sure. 4 ¼” long 1 7/8” wide at top, spoon as described in above title.
Second is by “Gish” embossed on back. The top of spoon has 3D horse & buggy, handle embossed Mackinac Island, bowl embossed “Michigan” and has embossed suspension bridge. Probably made of pewter, but not marked so. About 3 5/8” long & 15/16” wide. Third one is possibly silver-plated by “ Blue Delft Co. Inc. 1985, Made in Holland” stamped up handle on back. Embossed “Ellis Island” beneath building at top of handle and “Door to Freedom” stamped in bowl. About 4 5/8” long & ¾” wide. Fourth one is also possibly silver-plated by “ Blue Delft Co. Inc. 1987, Made in Holland” stamped up handle on back. Embossed USA under an Eagle emblem at top, and the bowl is stamped “Land of the Free”. About 4 ¾” long, 5/8” wide at top. Fifth one is marked “Japan” at top on back, has a colored emblem on top of front with “Skagway, Alaska” and some buildings pictured. The bowl of the sugar scoop shovel is stamped with a map, a totem, an Eskimo bust, a bear, Alaska, and 5 city names. The sixth one is possibly pewter, marked on back “Fort”, has a nicely detailed diving Eagle on the D-handled shovel and a raised Alaska map in the bowl with a fish, an Eskimo, an igloo, and what appears to be a sunrise over a mountain.
I find no damage on any of these, and only VERY minimal aging. We are a non-smoking, pet-free home and there are no noticeable odors; however, it was acquired by us used from elsewhere a short time ago, so cannot attest to all its history.
I will always be willing to combine your multiple purchases to save shipping costs when feasible. Thank you very much for looking.
This item is also on display at Lincoln Antiques, Lincoln, Mo., so please check with me regarding availability.
