Cast Iron Geared Hinges, Lid Supports, Farm Hardware
I am offering a lot of two pieces (1 Pair), of the above described items. They are ornate looking and in VGC+, especially considering their age of probably around 100 years old. The four end pieces have “M4” cast/embossed onto each of them and the two center hinge joints have “M3”. They measure right at 12 3/8” long and 1 ¾” wide at the hinge joint. No maker’s marks found, no rust, but a light coat of oil. I suspect they may have been to synchronize the positioning of a heavy lid that may have been somewhat flexible, but really do not know their intended use. They show no signs of wear or damage and really do not show that they have ever been installed for whatever use they originally were designed for. We are a non-smoking, pet-free home and item(s) has/have no noticeable odors, however, these were brought to us used from elsewhere a short time ago, so cannot attest to all their history. I will always be willing to combine your multiple purchases to save shipping costs when feasible. Thank you very much for looking.
