C.M.Edwards Padlock, PAT. 1914 Lock--PRICE REDUCED

The C. M. Edwards Co. Inc. Syracuse N Y USA, stamped into one side of hasp of this old padlock.
The other side has “18’ plus, what looks strongly like “PAT MAY 18 or 19. 1914”.
There is a key with it that fits in and turns part way, but stops prior to unlocking the padlock.
Overall coating with mild surface rust and very mild pitting in a couple of places.
