Interior of the lid is marked as Federal Tool and the bottom glass has a 2. No chips, cracks, breaks or rough rim. Table mounted spice grinder or mill manufactured in Germany. There is other manufacturing information, but even with a magnifying glass, I can't make it out. The height is approximately 8 inches. I am not sure if this a tea ball/infuser - it looks like one, but the size is so large.
