I am not sure of the age of these shears but bought them used over 20 years ago. They still work, although they are a bit dull. No manufacturing information. Vintage bacon press with a partial paper label as well the cast iron is stamped Taylor & Ng. and dated 1979. The wooden handle shows very little wear. Don't know if this plate or solid, but was made in India. It is 6 5/8" in height and 4" across the base. I've used it off and on for years, but have managed to remove most residual wax.
