When I began researching this vase, I was surprised to find none in the pillow shape. It is solid brass with a black finish and brass enameled bird scene on both sides. It has been packed away in my basement for many years and suffered a bit of oxidation. There is some wear to the finish, although the photograph is showing a lot of reflection and is hard to see. Solid brass manufactured in India. Balanced measurements of 3 3/4" measured at the base and 3 3/4" in height. It has been packed away for about 10 years and developed a deep patina. I photographed the fawn to show an area caused by the figure slightly scraping against the cardboard as I removed from the box. I believe it is just the patina removed and have not tried to polish. 7 1/2 inches across the top and almost 2 inches in height. It is marked Italy and C.T.1 on the bottom. Very intricate pattern with much attention to detail. There is a lovely patina to the piece, except for the underside which is still bright and shiny and not nearly so attractive as the upperside. I have no idea of why it has aged this way.
