I remember pouring the contents of this decanter down the bathroom sink in 1994 before moving, so as to not have any leaking during the moving process, so this is an empty bottle. Manufactured in Japan and marked as Otagiri Malachite. It is a note/bill holder with an opening for a pen/pencil (I always kept paper for telephone messages, but everyone would have a different use). It measures 7 x 3 x 1 1/4 inches. Superficial scratches to the surface as well as wear to the gold trim. There is a reflection in the photo, which could appear as damage.
