The tray measures 12 1/2" x 10" and is made of a type of Burwood, although it is somewhat different. Multi Prod. Co. had their own formula. The designs are raised molded and appears to be hand painted. The birds look like bluejays and features a branch of a pine tree complete with pine cones. Unique planter with different farm scenes. The sides have brass lions with rings. It needs cleaning and a bit of wood polish because in one area, water from the plants has stained the finish. This American Masters tin measures 14 1/2" in length, 11 3/4" in width and 4" in height. It features on the lid the work of Martin J. Heade and on the bottom Frank W. Benson. There are many small areas of wear and a couple of very small dings on the lid. Unfortunately, the lid has more obvious wear, but still displays very well. The frame measures approximately 17 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches and the exposed print measures approximately 15 1/2 x 12 inches, but it is probable that the print measures very close to the frame measurements. From what I can learn about this print, it was available for sale in mail order catalogs in the late 1920's and 30's. If you are familiar with the works of Lawrence Crowell, you will know what a departure of subject matter this print is for him. The framed measurements are approximately 31 1/4" x 25 1/4" The actual print measures approximately 23" x 17 1/4" It is double artist signed, once in cursive and hand printed in orange along with the year which is 1972. I believe the original was painted in 1885. The listed print was published in 1925 by Borin Mfg. Co., Chicago. The frame measures 17 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches and the exposed print measures 15 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches, however, the print is most likely closer to the frame size. The print and frame are showing much brighter than they are in reality, but I like natural light for full disclosure.
