I am not familiar with paper mache, but from what I've been reading, this piece seems to paper mache. If someone knows what the material would be, I would be so happy to know for sure. It is 18 inches in width and 14 inches in height. It is finished off in the back with a hanging device. Very little damage. Not sure of the age, but you can see a faint handwritten price of $1.98. This is an unused item dated Hallmark, 1986. The box it came in called it an album, but it looks more like a journal to me. The outside cover measures 7 1/2 x 6 1/4 inches. I began to count the sheets, but they were so very pristine that I decided not to disturb them. The thickness (including the hardcover) is approximately 1 inch.
