Vintage rice bowl with lid marked Andrea Sadek Japan. There are no problems with this item other than a tiny amount of finish damage in one area on the rim of the lid. The dish measures approximately 5 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. I will provide more photos soon, especially of the interior of the lid since it is decorated similar to the outside. I am not sure if this is a bonsai planter or just a regular old planter. It may be to tall. Hotta Yu Shoten went out of business in 1947. This item might be pre-WWII. It measures 7" in length and 2 3/4" in width. There are no breaks. There is a tight hairline crack (been there since I bought it) and a tiny shallow chip on the rim and a few small areas of paint loss on the trim.
