1 piece cardboard box which is covered with a coated paper. It measures approximately 5 3/4" in width, 4 1/4" in depth and 4" in height. I don't know why I began collecting these type of boxes, maybe you don't see many in good condition. In a nice condition, other than the bottom is not great. I am not sure of the age, but it reminds me of things popular in the late seventies and early eighties...

It is backstamped Royal Goedewaagen. Genuine blue delft or so states the writing on the bottom. This box was issued to commemorate Ellis Island. There are even little table rests molded into the bottom which makes it less likely to scratch all of the writing on the bottom. I did not call it a trinket box because it almost seems a bit large for one, but I suppose it could be called one...
